Batchellors Run

Geography

Batchellors Run has natural headwaters north of Norbeck Road (MD-28), with one originating near the northern end of Bradford Road, another originating near the old Emory Church and behind the present-day Olney Manor Recreational Park, another near Southeast Olney Park, another near the intersection of Old Baltimore Road and MD-108. It crosses Norbeck Road to the southeast between Woods Center Road and Barn Ridge Drive, and crosses Layhill Road to the east just north of Chapel Hill Road. It meanders through the Northwest Branch Park Golf Course as a water hazard, to the confluence with the main branch of the Northwest Branch of the Anacostia River just north of the confluence with Buckhorn Branch.
